OULTON WEEK 2020 – IT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE BUT IN A DIFFERENT FORMAT
The WOBYC Committee has been discussing Oulton Week and has come up with a plan. We are confident we can run some races but the big issues are the requirements for social distancing ashore and restricting the numbers of people who gather at the club.
Therefore the plan is to condense the regatta into 4 days (Sunday 23rd to Wednesday 26th August) with back-to-back racing to reduce time spent ashore between races. The fleets currently being considered are Fast and Slow Handicap dinghies plus BOD, Squib and Waveney classes. The River Cruiser class is also being invited to join in.
It will not be like a normal Oulton Week but we will do our best to make it as good as possible under the Covid-19 circumstances.
More details will be posted here soon, In the meantime, if you have any queries, please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
