The Summer Season has arrived!
At the 2nd attempt (the first a week earlier failed because of fog!) the Lady Mayhew Trophy race was sailed on Sunday 22nd April in lovely weather, most suitable for getting our summer season underway. 31 boats took part and the results were incredibly close with, for the first time in the history of the trophy, a tie for first place on handicap. Nick Crickmore in his RS Vareo was speedy on the spinnaker reaches and the lasers of Joe Drake and Piers Luxford were a match for him upwind. Overall Nick and Joe were the joint winners with Piers just a few seconds behind. Ben Falat had led the fleet in his Phantom and took 4th place on handicap. Full results here.
