About us…

The Waveney & Oulton Broad Yacht Club is one of the regions premier sailing clubs, and the only one in the broadland area to offer racing 52 weeks of the year.
Situated on the south side of Oulton Broad in Nicholas Everitt Park it boasts an enviable position with views of the whole sailing area from the grounds and each of the three balconies. Facilities include changing facilities, a canteen, stair and lift access to the first floor where there is a large bar area and the race control office or 'the box'. Outside there are two large floating pontoon jetties which offer safe and easy mooring.
WOBYC is a club run by its members for its members.

What a great weekend that was! Congratulations to Geoff Little and Sue Harper in Naiad, winners of the Waveney Class Championship for the second year running.

Full results of all the races are here.

Also, how wonderful it was to see so many of our Commodores gathered together. What a crowd!

Welcome to the WOBYC forum - this has been created to promote discussion, debate and improve communication amongst members. It is intended that this will be a friendly and social place where members, prospective members and other interested parties can post questions, provide help and support and generally chat about sailing at WOBYC.

Like all forums we have had to set some simple rules that all users are expected to obey - this is simply to ensure we all know the expected standards of behaviour. Remember that electronic communication is less personal than face to face debate and it is very easy to cause offence through an innocently worded comment!  We are a friendly club so lets keep the forum that way too...Forum Rules
