Jack Chippendale boats
To mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of renowned master boatbuilder Jack Chippendale, Fareham Sailing & Motor Boat Club is hosting a one day, three race handicap event and celebration on Saturday 11th May 2024, to honour Jacks life and work. Renowned for building the finest racing dinghies, Jack and his company Chippendale Boats in Fareham were at the forefront of wooden boatbuilding in the 1950s and 1960s, building National 12s, Merlin Rockets, Cadets, Flying

Regular Broadside

WOBYC AGM
At the AGM in December 2023, a new Commodore was elected - Kyle Beamish , who has previously held positions in the Committee of Sailing Secretary and Vice Commodore. Kyle is well known to many people, and is often found on the water in his Streaker or Mirror or Oulton Rater or Waveney!

Powerboat racing on the Broad
BROADS AUTHORITY NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 04 of 2023 Navigation Restriction - Powerboat Racing at Oulton Broad Notice is hereby given that vessels may be temporarily restricted and regulated in their movement near the powerboat racing circuit at Oulton Broad during the 2023 summer season.
